Notes on Balbeggie, Kinnoul (Kinnoull), St. Martins (Map):
Early 19th-century - Balbeggie established; was in an isolated portion of Kinnoull parish;
1891 - Transferred by the Boundary Commissioners from Kinnoull parish to St. Martins parish.
Balbeggie is approximately five miles north of Perth on A94.
(See Balbeggie, Kinnoul, Perthshire, Scotland)

Possibly related, in Kinnettles Kirkyard, Angus, Scotland:
The grave marker reads:
"Erected by George Carnegie GILLESPIE in memory of his father
who died 7th April 1864 aged 64 years.
Also of his daughter Janet McKay
who died on the 6th June 1868, aged 2 years 9 months".

Notes on Kinnettles:
Means "the head of the bog" (Old Statistical Account, 1790's);
lower part of the village "the bogs";
a small parish to the south-west of Forfar;
no town or village named Kinnettles, but a Kinnettles House;
Douglastown is largest village (but small);
between A94, A929 (now A90) & B9127.
